A few more from my days near Vallecito Reservoir.
All photos taken with My Canon 5dII + Canon 24-70f/2.8L Lens.
The first two days and nights of my trip to Colorado were spent at the Vallecito Reservoir near Durango. I drove up Rt 2274 to Tuckerville, Colorado, an abandoned mining village. Here are some of the photos from that trip.
All photos taken with my Canon 5dII + Canon 24-70f/2.8L
I spent a weekend driving all over Colorado, from Durango to Stonewall. I took over 6000 photos, including HDR time lapses, panoramics, and a ton of Milky Way photos. Here’s the first set, all about the Milky Way. All photos taken with my Canon 5dII, Canon 24-70L Lens, on a tripod.

This was taken with just moon light.
Had a great weekend of spider hunting, even this late in the season. Some great luck finding this adolescent male as they are in very shot supply this year. I believe this is a Phidippus otiosus. He was seen at the Chesapeake Arboretum, and was photographed with my Canon 5dii, mp-e 65, and mt-24 ex flash.
This was the smallest little Salticid I’ve ever seen. A quick little jumper, she was hard to photograph, but I got a few. The flower was a marigold, so that should give you some reference of scale. All photos taken at the Norfolk Botanical Gardens, with my Canon 5dii, Canon mp-e 65, and Canon mt-24ex flash.
